Northern Pasta - Radiator shaped pasta from nutty British-grown spelt. Its ruffled form is the perfect sauce-holder, ideal for showcasing a good olive oil or hearty ragu. Small-batch and slow-dried to keep every bite full of flavour and texture.

Wilden Herbals - A clarifying blend of organic herbs, this loose-leaf tea is crafted to restore balance, sharpen focus, and ease into new routines.

SUPPLIER SPOTLIGHT

Produced on Fiorenza De Filippo’s family farm in Manfredonia, Puglia, for generations, Dauno olive oil was made only for family and friends. That changed when back in Hackney, Fiorenza’s friend Ziad first tasted it; his immediate reaction was: “I wish I could buy this.” That spark became the foundation for Dauno.

The farm lies just five miles from the Adriatic Sea, where the coastal air enriches the soil, and at the foothills of Gargano National Park, celebrated for its biodiversity. The result is a beautiful extra virgin olive oil - peppery, fruity and green, balanced by a buttery mouthfeel. With an ultra-low acidity of 0.16%, it also ranks incredibly high in antioxidant activity!

August

August is the height of summer — plenty of time for picnics, trips, and gatherings with friends. This month, we’re all about holding onto that holiday feeling: striped towels for beach or poolside, playful chocolate for a sweet treat, and thoughtful pieces for impromptu garden suppers. A few favourites to help you savour the warmth — in spirit and in practice.

SHOP HIGHLIGHTS

TBCo Cotton Blanket - Soft, absorbent, and woven from 100% cotton, these towels bring easy charm to bathrooms or beach bags alike. Featuring bold blue and burgundy stripes with checkerboard edges, they’re a practical staple made to last — and one you’ll keep reaching for, season after season.

Fatso Chocolate - Drunk’n Monkey blends 60% dark Columbian chocolate with spiced rum, banana chips, and salted crackers. Unapologetically indulgent, it’s a holiday in a bar.

Stagioni by Olivia Cavalli - A beautiful celebration of seasonal Italian cooking, Olivia Cavalli brings together recipes inspired by her family, heritage, and the rhythm of the year. Simple, thoughtful dishes rooted in tradition — with a modern touch.

We love having them on our shelves — bold designs, local roots, and a refreshing approach that fits right in at Hackney Essentials.
