Hackney Essentials Blog

May brings a renewed energy to the city - warmer days, longer evenings, and a sense of fresh inspiration. This month we are celebrating those who prioritise skill, sustainablity, and thoughtful design. From hand-thrown stoneware to responsibly made homewares and spice tins wrapped in recycled saris, objects that bring both meaning and beauty to the everyday.

SHOP HIGHLIGHTS

Spice Kitchen - Founded by a mother-and-son team, each tin is handmade and finished using upcycled sari material, and makes a meaningful gift for any cook.

Hackney Essentials Apron - Crafted for both style and function, our Hackney Essentials denim apron is handmade in London in collaboration with designer Viktoria Zuziak.

Leach Pottery - Founded in 1920 by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada, Leach Pottery are wheel-thrown in Cornwall - each one celebrating form, function, and quiet beauty.
