Korontini

Korontini

Korontini, a family-run olive oil rooted in tradition, friendship, and the sunniest corner of Crete.

Background & Location

Korontini is a family business built on a relationship that stretches back decades. The oil is produced in southern Crete by a family who have been making extra virgin olive oil for five generations.

Today, Korontini continues those same traditions: the same producer, the same oil, and the same care, with a fresh contemporary identity.

This is olive oil as it should be: authentic, personal, and deeply rooted in Greek heritage.

Harvest Notes

Last year’s extremely limited rainfall affected olive groves across Greece, leading to reduced yields and, in many areas, lower overall quality.

Thankfully, southern Crete, one of the sunniest places in Europe, proved more resilient. While Korontini experienced a slight decrease in quantity, the impact was far smaller than in other regions. Most importantly, the quality remained fully aligned with the high standards the producer is known for.

Tasting Notes

This year’s Korontini olive oil is beautifully fruit-forward, with a hint of spice that lingers and gently tickles the throat.

It’s at its best with fresh, simple ingredients: ripe tomatoes, salads, dipped into warm bread. It’s also made for everyday Greek cooking, whether you’re frying, roasting, drizzling, or dressing.

Extra virgin olive oil is every kitchen’s best friend.
