Hackney Essentials is currently recruiting for a sales assistant. This is a great opportunity to join a wonderful team at our beautiful shop. 

This is a position for someone with a background in and commitment to retail who ideally has specific knowledge about wine, craft beer and spirits, as well as fresh and artisan food, ceramics and homewares. 

You will be expected to serve our customers in the shop, taking care of fresh produce and stock control and other day to day duties. 

The successful candidate will have:

• Excellent customer service skills and can-do attitude
• Well organised and clear thinking with an ability to prioritise and manage workload
• Creative with a willingness to bring fresh ideas and thinking
• Relaxed and friendly demeanour with a positive outlook
• Numerate and literate with an excellent standard of spoken and written English language
