Pomagrana is a perfect summer red wine made by Fredi Torres in D.O. Conca de Barberá

Currently Fredi Torres also works on different projects in the Montsant with Frenchman Antoine Touton, and in Conca de Barberá, with Marc Lecha. They form the tandem Lectores Vini, and they have made their first wine, Pomagrana.

Pomagrana is a wine made with 100% Trepat from a vineyard planted in 2005 in Barberà de la Conca at an altitude of 470 metres. The vineyard is planted on clay-calcareous soils and it has an important presence of pebbles. Here, they practice organic viticulture with little intervention.

Harvest is performed by hand. Once in the winery, the grapes are completely destemmed and macerated for around 8 days. After the pressing, the grapes ferment with native yeasts in stainless steel deposits. After the fermentation, the wine remains in the deposits on its fine lees for 4 months. It is bottled after a gentle filtering.

Crunchy red fruit, light citrus, white pepper with refreshing minerality

Pomagrana
is a fruity, light and fragrant wine. On the nose, the aromas of fresh red fruit stand out, with light flowery notes. In the mouth, it is easy to drink, very fresh and with a long finish.
